Panel 1: A’isha fires her handgun in a chaotic hospital hallway as Kimura Ran, wounded and missing her left hand, braces beside her and shields her ear while police gunfire erupts during the zombie outbreak. Panel 2: Graphic horror comic panel showing a hospital zombie in blue medical scrubs being shot in the head and chest, blood spraying as the infected attacker lunges toward trapped civilians. Panel 3: ’Zug, a half-orc police officer, holds his revolver at the ready inside a barricaded hospital room while a growing horde of zombies crowds the wired door window outside, signaling the outbreak is escalating fast. Panel 4: A’isha checks her remaining ammunition by counting the rounds left in her handgun magazine, maintaining tactical focus as survivors face mounting pressure during the hospital zombie crisis. Panel 5: Kimura Ran, injured but sharp-witted, leans forward and explains the deadly math of infection as survivors struggle to hold their position against an expanding zombie outbreak.

Dead shall rise – Chapter 3 page 2

I wanted the gunfire here to feel useful... but also dangerous. A’isha does exactly what she has to do, but every shot reinforces the bigger problem: noise, chaos, attention. Survival horror’s always fun when solving one issue creates three more, and hospitals are a particularly bad place for that math.

This page also gave ’Zug a chance to start feeling more like himself. He’s not panicking-- he’s reading the room, understanding escalation, and doing his job. Meanwhile, Ran’s contribution here isn’t about being the toughest person in the room... it’s about pattern recognition. Even injured, exhausted, and missing a hand, her brain is already moving toward the bigger picture.

Also... yes, Ran making a math joke in the middle of a zombie outbreak felt very on-brand. If your life is actively collapsing, sarcasm is still free.
