A chaotic hospital hallway filled with people fleeing in fear. In the foreground, a blonde woman and a dark-haired man in casual clothes look terrified as they run. Behind them, a group of three infected zombies stumbles forward: the bloodied medical examiner wearing glasses and a white lab coat, the infected janitor, and the curly-haired nurse in blue scrubs with bloodshot eyes and blood on her face. A glowing red emergency exit sign hangs above.

Dead shall rise – Chapter 2 page 10

Whatever line existed between “incident” and “outbreak” just got crossed.

We don’t see Ran. We don’t see A’isha. What we do see is fear-- raw and immediate. Civilians running, pushing past gurneys, shouting things that don’t help anyone. This is panic at full volume.

And the worst part? They’re running in the wrong direction.

The exit sign above them isn’t a mistake... it’s a warning. A visual red flag. These people think they’re escaping, but we already know what’s waiting in the shadows ahead. A dead end. They’re heading straight for it.

The infected don’t need speed. They just need confusion.

Next page, that confusion reaches Ran’s door.
